This guide explains how to change the communication port assignment, and troubleshoot issues with the communication port, on your NanoSight software in a Windows® system.
There may be times when you need to re-assign a Windows® Com Port address to the NanoSight hardware. For example, when relocating the instrument, you plug the various devices back into different USB ports, this will cause Windows® to re-assign a different Com Port address.
This is not normally an issue, however if you exceed Com Port address >10, you may experience problems with device communication.
