Particle properties affect how materials behave. We talk a lot about what particle size analysis and ensemble techniques such as laser diffraction can tell you about the behavior of your materials. But particle shape is another key factor.
Images from microscopy will show particle shape. And while a picture might paint a thousand words, what we really need to make effective decisions about material performance is thousands and thousands of particle images. That’s where automated image analysis comes in.
In this webinar you’ll join our experts Jenny and Jo in the lab, where they will introduce automated image analysis and the Morphologi 4 and 4-ID instruments. They will show you how quickly and easily you can gather particle shape information and share some examples of where particle shape really makes a difference.
We’ll also look at Morphologically-Directed Raman Spectroscopy (MDRS). This adds chemical identification to particle size and shape analysis, unlocking a greater understanding of complex or mixed materials by providing component specific information. Back in the lab, we’ll show you how the Morphologi 4-ID targets and identifies individual particles, as well as discuss how you can use this data to understand the performance and processing of complex materials.
So, join us in the applications lab to see how particle shape and MDRS can add new dimensions to your material understanding!
