By using X-ray diffraction (XRD) it is possible to identify and quantify different crystallographic phases. By using a specific setup, it is also possible to perform in situ and in operando XRD measurements of complete battery cells, analyzed during charge-discharge cycles. This can be done either in reflection or in transmission geometry, depending on the features of the battery under investigation. A good link between the XRD data collection and the potentiostat running the charge-discharge cycles can help the user in the subsequent data analysis. This, and other experimental aspects will be covered in this session by our experts, answering your specific questions.

Don’t forget to submit your questions by emailing askanexpert@malvernpanalytical.com or using the #MPexpert hashtag on Twitter. Questions and data can be submitted up to 10 days upfront.
