Dr Anne Virden joined Malvern Panalytical in 2007 from the University of York where she received her Ph.D. in physics, studying the magnetic properties of nanoparticle systems. She joined as a technical specialist for laser diffraction, providing customer training, demonstrations, and applications advice for Mastersizer and Spraytec customers (where her favourite things were the weird and wonderful applications of the Spraytec). In 2014 her role expanded to include analytical imaging and Raman spectroscopy and providing support for Morphologi customers. Anne moved into product management in 2020 using her experience to work across the micro-materials portfolio.
Anne loves to find out more about the applications where Malvern Panalytical’s technologies are used. She believes in using the expertise of Malvern Panalytical to help customers to get the most out of their measurements and enable them to improve their products and processes.
